A picture's worth a thousand words

Presenting Emma's pictorial blog debut!

A note on the one of her in the nurse's hand. Emma will be the posterchild (literally) for UI Hospitals and Clinics when they roll out a new marketing campaign. So when she's on the cover of Vogue in 20 years (OK, maybe 16 years--I'm always disturbed at how young those women are and how they try to convice us "real adults" we should look like that... but I digress) we can all say we knew her when.

The report today is that Emma's being a champ. She now weighs about 1 lb., 13 oz. and is eating more and using the ventilator less. Way to play, Emma Mae!
