The littlest pumpkin

Happy Halloween, Emma! This year we recommend you let the treats come to you and leave the tricks for when you're a fiesty teenager, t.p.'ing the neighbors.

Diane shared these latest photos. The little pumpkin hat is courtesy some delightful volunteers who knit booties and caps and such for babies like Emma. In addition to being our star photographer, Diane takes a turn as a model in today's installment, demonstrating her first shot at "kangaroo care." It's great for babies to have skin-to-skin contact with mom (and dad, too?) and Emma looks like she's enjoying it. Even big brother Lucas will have a chance to hold her soon, though everyone will probably stay fully clothed for that adventure.

Emma came close to the 2 pound mark recently but was beset by a bug, which resulted in more drugs and fewer feedings. But it sounds like she gets back on track relatively well, and the nurses are continuing with their plans for her 2 pound party. I wonder if E! Entertainment Television will cover the fete?
