Time Flies

So it's been awhile since an update. Emma is well on her way to hitting the 12 lb mark. She had an eye appointment yesterday which turned out well. She doesn't have any issues with her eyes and her next check up doesn't need to be until next year. Yay! We have been working on strengthening Emma's legs and back with some exercises we were given by the physical therapist. She is still a little weak (a side effect from being in the NICU for so long). She gets lots and lots of tummy time. The best thing to watch is the interaction between Lucas and Emma. She just loves him. He is starting to acknowledge her more and more. He likes to bring his toys and books to her and explain them to her in his own little way. She laughs and laughs at him. It's amazing to think that it has almost been a year since Emma came into our lives. It's been quite a year!
